Our $2 hot lunch, catered by the charity A Loving Spoonful, begins again THIS Wednesday, Sept. 16! This community meal is served in our Friendship Room, and can seat up to 30 folks. Doors open at 12:45, lunch is served at 1:00 pm.

Communion #FYI: St. Andrew's celebrates the sacrament of Communion at Sunday morning worship once a month, on the second Sunday. Upcoming Communion celebrations:

We walk through the process for those not familiar -- all are very much welcome.
Interested in learning more about the urban bees we house in a hive beside the church? Our beekeeper makes regular check-in visits, and is always up for sharing their knowledge and love of the busy pollinators.
The next visit will be Tues, Sept 29 at 10 am, on the lawn beside the church.

A contemplative, candle-lit service with beautiful music, Taizé songs, silences, and prayer. Please check the website calendar for specific dates, as they may change depending on the length of the month (but it's roughly the third Sun of each month).
If you can, make some time today (on the last day of August) to go outside and just breathe. Sun, rain, cloud, warm, hot, cool -- this wild and beautiful earth of ours can offer a moment of peace in many settings.

This Sunday: Jazz Vespers with the Barnstormer Band! Gatsby glitz meets country grit in Barnstormer, a pack of world-class musicians who are imaginative, explosive and charming. Melanie Dekker (leader/singer/banjo), Diane Lines (piano), Kelly Brown (guitar), Allan Rodger (drums), and Tom Keelyside (clarinet/trumpet) will share a joyful vintage musical journey inspired by the spirit of the 1920s.
